Welcome!

Would you like to be able to cycle further and faster?

I specialise in nutrition for competitive or endurance cyclists, helping you to understand what types of food to eat, how much of them to eat and when to eat them.

Do you want to improve your performance when cycling?

What (and when) you eat and drink can really make a difference to your performance and how you feel. It’s not just what you eat while riding but also your everyday diet that can affect your results and help you to achieve your sporting goals, whether that is to ride further, faster or something more personal to you.

We all want to enjoy our cycling, and running out of energy or not performing as well as you know you can, isn’t where we want to be. You may know that you need to have some carbohydrate, protein and drink well but that is only part of the story. Do you know how much, how often or why you need it?

There’s a lot of information available online nowadays but how do you know which is accurate? Not only am I a cyclist (so understand some of the issues that you may have) but I am also a qualified sports nutritionist and registered dietitian. No matter what level you are currently at in your cycling journey, I can help you to understand the types of food and drink that you need, why you need them and the best time to have them!

A quick introduction…

Faith Young

Hi, I’m Faith

I’m a sports nutritionist, registered dietitian and cyclist!

When I first qualified as a dietitian I worked for the NHS but when I started riding with other cyclists, I noticed that some of them were getting very tired towards the end of a ride and I was getting asked questions about a variety of nutritional problems connected with cycling and endurance sports. So, following a career break, I decided to return to practice as a dietitian and studied for an MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Nutrition and having qualified, I am now on the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR). I use my sports nutrition knowledge in my own practice to provide nutritional advice and support to individuals and groups to help them to achieve their sporting goals.
